About Grand Canyon State Games

The Grand Canyon State Games is a multi-sport Olympic Festival for Arizona amateur athletes of all ages and abilities. The Games is organized by the Arizona Sports Council and is affiliated with 47 other state games throughout the United States. It is sanctioned by the U.S. Olympic Committee through the National Congress of State Games. The Games seeks to provide Arizonans with an avenue for personal development through sports.

Dan Majerle

Dan Majerle was originally selected with the 14th overall pick by the Suns in the 1988 NBA draft. Majerle quickly became a permanent fan favorite while playing eight seasons in Phoenix. A Phoenix Suns legend and Ring of Honor inductee, Dan was just named the new Head Coach of the Grand Canyon University Antelopes. He made his broadcast debut working for TNT during the 2003 NBA Playoffs and has also worked for ESPN and ABC.
